Stainless steel 410S, 1.4000
410S stainless steel is a low carbon modification of Type 410 stainless steel, non-hardening, a small aluminum
addition minimizes austensite formation at high temperature, thereby restricting the alloy's ability to harden.
This non-hardening characteristic also retards formation of hardening cracks when the steel is welded.
The alloy is completely ferritic in the annealed condition.
